Some of the most precious times in my life have been spent quietly sitting before God. Whether in prayer, worship, or reading His Word, my heart’s deepest joy comes in seeking His face and listening for His heart. This song came in one of those moments when I realized that as much as we can ever reach out to God, it was He Who first reached out to us in love. There is no thought of love or devotion we can ever give that did not originate from His heart. Although I always desire to seek Him, I know it was His heart which was calling to me… and always has. I’ve simply tried to live a life faithful to answer that call. May this song become the cry of each heart that hears it; may each know that the God Who loves you is calling your name, inviting you to know Him more – beckoning you to draw close to His love.

Beckoned Me
Love so simple and yet profound… You let me trod holy ground,
And I hardly comprehend it, but I trust You and I sense that
Your loving heart has beckoned me.
Heart so humble and yet divine… yet You call me to Your side,
And I’ve done nothing to earn it, but I gratefully discern that
Your loving heart has beckoned me,
And I look and see Your hand outstretched to call me,
And I feel Your Spirit wrap Itself around me,
And You have summoned me close, You Who cherish me most.

Call so gentle and yet secure… no dream greater that one that’s Yours,
And no words could e’er describe it, but my soul is awed to find that
